What is Malware? Malware is a relatively recent computer problem, and can cause numerous problems with a PC. Generally Malware will track how you use your computer, change adverts and links, send you to other websites or pop up adverts on websites where they shouldn't be. Some of the theory behind malware could be useful, but as they can install without your permission or knowledge they can cause compatibility problems. Some software makes installing malware a condition of its use.

How has Malware got on my computer? There are a number of ways that malware could get on to your computer, generally by using an exploit or by offering you a program that seems like it will be useful. Two programs like this that come to mind are one that offers to save your details for you so you don't have to enter them into websites all the time, another offers to keep your clock up to date. Both can be useful, but at the same time you install them a number of malware programs piggy back on the installation. Other suspects are programs that allow you to download music and videos from the web, some have been known to install up to 10 different malware programs.

How do I remove Malware? Often malware will hides itself to prevent removal or detection. The only sure way to remove everything is to use blocking and cleaning program. There are a number of these programs that will do this for you and one of the more effective is SpyBot by Pepimk Software.
